SWBNO CHARGES
If you are being billed for sewer service and you do not have sewer provided by SWBNO, please complete the form below. Feel free to have your neighbors who may not be getting the LCAA blasts to fill out the form as well.
LCA has been in contact with SWBNO and they thought this problem was fixed. When we have a list of those being overcharged we will go back to SWBNO and get them to fix all of them at once and get those charges reversed.
January 2025
Our neighbors Yardbirds Farm at 10801 River Rd. are hosting a public Neighborhood Participation Meeting:
Neighborhood Participation Meeting (NPP)
Date: January 29, 2025
Time: 4pm
Location: River Queen Greens Barn (10801 River Rd.)
They would like to build a chicken brooding and processing facility there. The NPP meeting is required by the City of New Orleans as the requested business is a conditional use in the Rural Residential Estate (RRE) zoning of that property. If you are interested or concerned, please attend. A map is included with excerpts from a letter from Yardbirds Farm below. This is the former Cow Pasture on River Road.

For more details see the letter below from Yardbirds and click on the following link to review more information abo about the NPP process in our most recent newsletter.

Letter from Yardbirds:
Dear Neighbor,
Yardbirds Farm, LLC would like to construct a barn at 10801 River Rd. The barn will consist of two 40 ft. shipping containers, raised, with a roof constructed over both of them. There will be a wooden patio connecting the two containers.
One part of the barn is intended for raising chicks to prepare them for pasture. The other part of the barn is intended for the processing of birds. The building will consist of one floor and will total 240 square feet.
10801 River Rd. is located in an RRE Rural Residential Estate District, where the processing of food or other products of any plants or livestock raised on an agricultural use property requires the approval of a conditional use permit. This can be found in Article 20, Section 20.3.C.3 in the New Orleans Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. Yardbirds Farm, LLC’s Conditional Use Permit application must be heard by the City Planning Commission and the City Council, and we are required to complete the NPP meeting before submitting our application to the City Planning Commission for review.
If we receive approval, we plan to start the construction within a month of the approval and estimate the work should take about two months. Because you are a nearby neighbor, I am inviting you to an NPP meeting where you can learn more about what we propose, and present questions or concerns. This letter is being delivered through U.S. Mail or by email. I’ve enclosed my site plans to give you a better idea of what we plan to do. At the meeting, I will provide a sign-in sheet to obtain email
addresses, so that I can keep you updated if there are any changes to the plans.
If you are unable to attend and would like to receive information from the meeting, or have any additional questions or comments, please feel free to contact me. I hope to see you at the meeting on January 29.
Sincerely,
Kelly Cahill - owner/operator
